While the Portguieser case has been updated, most of the watches making their debut aren’t entirely new. There are two exceptions, though, one of which is the new IWC Portugieser Replica Watches Hot Sale. The Portguieser Hand-Wound Tourbillon Day & Night (reference number IWC545901) comes in a solid 18k Armored Gold case that measures 42.4mm in diameter and 10.8mm thick. That’s fairly thin for such a wide watch, which can make it feel quite flat and wide on the wrist—not a bad thing.
The case features a brushed case and polished top and bezel, plus a domed sapphire crystal and a pull-out crown. The 60-meter water resistance makes it suitable for most activities outside of the pool or ocean, but 60 meters of water resistance also seems like an odd bit of a play on words, competing against a watch that’s only rated to 50 meters. The IWC Replica Swiss Movement is paired with a black alligator leather strap and an Armored Gold folding clasp, but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with the brand’s quick-release mechanism for easy changes.
The dial offers a rich canvas of brushed obsidian, into which IWC has placed its two eponymous complications: a tourbillon and a day/night indicator. At 6 o’clock, a gold ring surrounds the tourbillon aperture, with the flying tourbillon on full display. The Replica Watches For Sale itself isn’t particularly elegant, but neither is the Portugieser’s case; both seem to suggest a more rugged refinement.
The day/night indicator at 9 o’clock represents a fresh take on this complication from the brand. A polished black and gold sphere spins to indicate day or night depending on the time. You may have seen this indicator before, most notably and strikingly from Arnold & Son, but it’s new to IWC Replica Watches Outlet. While I’ve always found this indicator less useful, I have to admit that the execution here looks excellent. The dial features gilded leaf-shaped hands and gold numerals.
Powering the IWC Portugieser Manual Winding Tourbillon Day/Night is a newly developed movement, the “IWC Manufacture” caliber 81925. This manually wound movement is an evolution of the 81905, which was only equipped with a tourbillon. The IWC Replica Watches Hot Sale movement features a diamond-coated silicon escapement for increased efficiency and longevity, and is very attractive through the sapphire caseback crystal. The decorative gilded baseplate has holes for mounting the barrel, gears, and most importantly, the day/night display. The movement offers an 84-hour power reserve at a frequency of 28,800 vph.
The Swiss Replica Watches strikes a balance between the IWC Big Pilot and IWC Portofino collections, offering models that are arguably the most versatile in the brand’s catalog. Both truly new Portugiesers introduced this year are impressive, but I appreciate its restraint and simplicity, as well as the somber elegance conveyed by the black and gold combination.
